The Maktab system is the most important means for preservation of Deen. It is through the Maktab system that the foundations of Deen are laid and the Imaan of our children is preserved. Madrassah Ashraful Uloom strives to provide a solid Maktab education to our children and provide access to Maktab education to children in need.

Madrassah Ashraful Uloom has three facilities in Marlboro Gardens, Edenvale and Alexandra Township. It is through these facilities that we strive to provide Maktab education to our children. We strive to improve the quality of education and the learning experience of our students by integrating technology at our facilities to assist with teaching and learning.

Madrassah Ashraful Uloom employs 14 Ustaads across our facilities which include 2 Muftis, 5 Aalims, 1 Aalimah, 2 qualified montessori educators and 6 Aapas. The Madrassah is headed by Molana Suhail Wadee who sees to the smooth running of all 3 facilities.

Currently there are 170 learners at Madrassah Ashraful Uloom across our 3 facilities. Most of these learners are from underprivileged backgrounds and can not afford quality Maktab education. Madrassah Ashraful Uloom understands the importance of Deeni Education and we strive to accommodate these learners regardless of their background and financial situation. Our SPONSOR A LEARNER project ensures that for only R300 a month these students can have access to Maktab education while the running expenses of the Madrassah is not in jeopardy.
